Young Graduate Trainee Program in Data Science

Eager to work on data-centric projects but not sure in what role? We’re looking for young graduates (in Ghent and Rotterdam) set on acquiring hands-on skills in the broader field of Data Science. Join our rotational 18-month trainee program, experience three different job positions and boost your skills as you discover what role suits you best. Stop pondering over your next move and send us your CV and motivation letter!

Key responsibilities

Over a period of 18 months, a trainee will take up three roles during consecutive periods of 6 months. Key responsibilities will vary according to the role one assumes.

Starting as a ‘Data Scientist’, your data analytical skills will be sharpened, providing you with the ability to create innovative algorithms that generate business value. As a ‘Project Manager’, you will learn how to scope, monitor and allocate resources to various projects. A crucial skill set for each young professional in order to successfully deliver any project.

To conclude the program, each Trainee will be able to finish his/her tenure by taking up the role of either a ‘Data Strategist’ or a ‘Data Engineer’. The choice between both will depend on your background, performance and preference. The ‘Data Strategy’- position is well-suited for business-savvy trainees, helping companies to understand how these technologies and techniques generate business value and providing them with a clear roadmap. The ‘Data Engineering’ position fits the likings of trainees with a more technical profile, looking to dive into data lakes, data warehouses and the deployment of crafted solutions.

As a trainee, you will operate in a fast-growing environment that will require you to take initiative and ownership over projects. This should allow you to get a quick, yet thorough, taste of what it means to assume the abovementioned roles.
